Venue:

Tom’s Country Place opened in 1959. Sixty-five years and three generations later, our first-class facilities still offer timelessly elegant halls and award-winning gardens. 

Our recently renovated venue can accommodate 40-450 wedding guests. You may choose from our Oak Room, Gold Room, Gold & West Room, or Grand Ballroom (the combination of the Oak, Gold, and West Room). Each space features its own private entrance, restrooms, dressing room, and bar room to ensure your wedding is intimate and private. Each room’s decor is tastefully designed in a neutral tone to compliment your wedding decor and features fully dimmable golden chandeliers and wall-to-wall white tile dance floors.

Amenities:

Tom’s Country Place offers high-quality food that will leave your guests with a lasting impression. Our menu features traditional comfort food classics such as our famous three-cheese macaroni & cheese and our family recipe roasted chicken and cabbage rolls along with new and innovative culinary trends such as our charcuterie boards and plant-based entrées. Whether you choose Family-Style or Buffet-Style dinner service, we’re happy to tailor our menu to fit your tastes and preferences, including any special dietary requests such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free needs. We are proud to be the reigning Best Caterer in Lorain County!

Our all-inclusive wedding reception packages include:

  • In-House full-service catering

    • Includes your choice of 1, 2, or 3 entrées with 3 accompaniments, garden salad, & dinner rolls served buffet-style or family-style

      • Because we are a catering company, we do not allow outside catering, with the exception of desserts

  • Set-up and clean-up of the reception space

    • Includes tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, and catering equipment

  • Day-of access to the venue at noon to add your personal touches

  • On-site Event Coordinator to assist with planning and day-of logistics

  • Culinary staff led by our Executive Chef

  • Wait staff and bartenders led by our Banquet Manager

  • City of Avon police officer for security

  • An extensive list of recommended vendors to complete your wedding day team

  • Flexibility to provide your own beer, wine, liquor, and wedding cake

  • White linen mid-floor length tablecloths

  • Choice of house linen napkins with 27 colors to choose from

  • Water stem glasses & water carafes

  • China plates and silver flatware for all courses

Outdoor Ceremony:

Hosting your wedding ceremony outdoors can be a wonderful option for your special day! With our award winning gardens surrounding our raised sandstone terrace, your guests will be left speechless. After the ceremony, you and your photographer can also take advantage of our picturesque grounds while your guests settle in for your reception.

There is no concern in case of rain or inclement weather. We will simply bring your ceremony inside to your reception room to make sure your wedding runs seamlessly.

There is no charge for the use of the gardens for pictures only. Our gardens are equipped with electricity for your audio equipment and ceremony chair set-up is offered, for a fee. We offer two times for ceremonies, 3:30pm-5:00pm and 6:00pm-7:30pm. The gardens are open to anyone after 7:30pm until sunset.

Congrats on your engagement! As our only Event Coordinator, I'll be your sole point of contact here at Tom's Country Place. I'll be with you every step of the way, from your first venue tour through to the big day! With so many intricate details that go into the average wedding, I believe transparency and responsiveness are two of the most important qualities for a wedding pro. That's why our wedding package and pricing information are easily accessible online. No hidden fees or surprise charges, ever. I'm also in the office every Tuesday through Saturday to chat about any detail of your wedding via phone, email, in-person, or virtually.

I'm a 2014 graduate of Bowling Green State University (Go Falcons!) where I majored in Hospitality & Event Management. I've worked in the Special Event industry for about 9 years, helping over 350 couples tie the knot. Can't wait to help make your wedding dreams come true!
